In fact, Japan was a backwater Island for years, unable to keep up with current technological trends until sometime during the 1850s (I believe) when Matthew Perry (that bastard) forced them to trade with him. Can you add a "Move to Scandinavia" option up there, those option are kind of like, "shoot yourself in the head," and "shoot yourself in the balls," there are no winning choices...
