Lol, are you kidding me? What, you think we go out and hunt for animals?

WE breed the animals in OUR factory farms. Were it not for us, most of the chicken we eat would never have existed in the first place. We're not "keeping the population down," we're operating completely outside of the fragile ecosystem.

BUT what about all the wild animals? With no more hunters around they would become overpopulated, causing them to mirgrate to farms and eat all the crops. Causing mass hunger. and let me correct myself, if PETA ruled the world. Sorry if I cloned your post Antagar, didnt mean to.

maybe in america... even then on small scale

most of the world still hunts for its food

my uncle hunts/ fishes for 90% of his meat... in Maryland...

hunting animals is a HUGE industry... and you are blind to think that all of our food comes from farms

ummm... no.

Just about all of our poultry, red meat, and pork come from factory farms filled with millions of animals incapable of turning around. What, you think the meat industry just sends out a bunch of guys with mp5's when Thanksgiving season comes around?

You uncle hunting for himself is not an "industry"

Game like deer and the sort do indeed come from hunters, but they are not nearly as mainstream.

wild turkey

most fish

deer

duck

rabbit

those are all hunted industries

Turkey, Beef, Pork are all farm industry

but I can assure you if there were no hunters going out and fishing / hunting... your meals would be a hell of a lot less large due to the enormous price that would be put on domesticated animal meat.

go anywhere in the country and I will assure you a fuckload of people are getting their own food out of the woods... they will be the ones who survive when the economy eventually implodes

I also agree with most of their stances on animal testing. While it's obviously necessary in some cases, torturing little Monkeys ESPECIALLY MONKEYS just to approve a new make-up product for self conscious teenage girls really gets to me.

I sorta agree with ReconToaster.

But I think that PETA is a homegrown terrorist operation, the smiley face of other organizations like the ELF and ALF.
I just can't see eye to eye with people who insist that rats have the same rights as humans, or that Ben & Jerry's should use Human breast milk in their ice cream instead of cow milk. True story.

My family hunts. Although we still buy alot of meat and veggies, we normally hunt enough food to last a few months(mmm... venison) and pick enough damn apples and pears to last us untill the next year.

What I dont like about PETA is how extreme they are. Like I said before, they are not just for Humane treatment of animals, but more anti-everyonewhoeatsmeatorkillsanimals
