Re: Mass Effect 2
Well, it would REALLY suck if Shepard dies after all they've thrown at us during the game.

I thought this at first... I thought killing off Shephard would be an effortless cop-out to avoid having to have the choices you made in the first game carry on to the second. I have, however, had a change of heart. Killing Shephard would have huge emotional effects, and would nearly crush human, and possibly galactic, morale. Bioware pretty much confirmed that your choices would carry on, so they could be implemented in many other ways. Whether or not you extinguish the Rachni is a decision that could effect ANY person in the galaxy, not just shephard.
While I don't think they've really killed off Shephard, I think that it would give a fresh, interesting perspective on the game universe.

Re: Mass Effect 2
My name is from Mass Effect. I really enjoyed it.
As for his 'death' it's possible, that they start you off with a new person, because Shepard is KIA, but I thought the trilogy would be centred around him.
He's the first Human Spectre, he's the one who stopped the Reapers.
In the endings to the first he seemed very determined to stop the Reapers from coming.
