I don't think so. It really ends the same way no matter what you choose.

Re: Mass Effect 2
And he sold the body to the geth? I don't think he could even contact them... Saren only got to them 'cause he had Sovereign.

You can't really reason with the Geth, they'll just kill you on sight.
Saren got them to follow him because Soverign was controlling him and the Geth.
The only way the Geth would get Shepards body is if he died in combat against them.

Are the Geth really susceptible to sovereigns indoctrination? I would think that their reasoning for siding with Saren would be the simple purpose of gaining some form of power.
the Geth were enslaved by the Quarians for centuries. Maybe they're just bitter toward sentient life-forms in general.

Re: Mass Effect 2
The Geth thought of the Sovereign as a God, so they followed Saren because of that.

That sounds right, because he was the peak of mechanical life to them.

Yeah, that's what LP and Vigil are saying.
They worshiped them because they were the pinnacle of artificial intelligence.

Re: Mass Effect 2
What happens in game doesn't count.
Lets say in Mass Effect you were shot in the face by a sniper shot and blown by a grenade. You don't die then this doesn't really happen.
Someone gets killed in a cutscene, that shit happens.
