I failed that conversation on my insanity run, but I got enough paragon later on to persuade her back to being loyal.

I din't have all the upgrades (Like Legion didn't have his sniper rifle on insanity) and he survived.

Sorry to necro this thread, but just felt like sharing that I finally did the smart thing and finally gave the Mass Effect series a go. Just beat Mass effect 1 and what can I say that hasn't already been said. Wow, what a game, what a great game.

2nd playthrough I'll shape it out to my desire Shepard for ME2. Which I now can not wait to get and play to death like the rest of you.

Well uh...Oh! New Mass Effect 2 DLC. Very Happy Article

No problem I was going to do it anyway.

I was lucky that the first time I played through ME2, I set up the character who will go on to ME3. And we all know what ME3 will be..........

Surprised I'm saying this.....but there's a ME2 Demo on Xbox Live, so if anyone hasn't played it yet, and want a taster, here's your chance.

In other news, more DLC tomorrow.

Played through Overlord today.

It's the first DLC for ME2 worth the price. Great story behind it which I won't spoil and a lot more open than most side missions in the actual game, it felt a lot more like the side missions in the original..

I'd recommend it

Played the demo, aaaand it was pretty awesome Very Happy

Only part that frustrated me was killing the final mech thingy. I died 3-4 times on Normal... maybe i'm just bad.

On a side note, Jack is one bad-ass-mother-fucker. Biotics FTW!!

YMIR's are pretty tough at the start. You have to use your powers and your teammates powers to take down it's shields and armour.

The first mech is pretty easy to kill, all you have to do is run inside the prefab shelter, and shoot around the door, he cant really fight back.
