I'm guessing, probably where the road to independence left off. I'm not sure though, because the US would start off very late in the game wouldn't it?

Well I doubt the game just ENDS once you do 200 turns.

I got to the end of a game of Medieval once. It just goes, '50 turns left!'

And when you get to zero it just says, 'Failure,' in one of those notification boxes, which would be pretty disheartening if you'd spent like 200 hours on it or something - luckily I was just seeing if I could get to the year 2000 for the lulz.

PS - I'm not talking about the turns to complete the campaign 45 regions and whatnot. This is actual GAME OVER stuff

Does it look any good in a melee?

Yes, there are some pretty cool moments to be had in melee, although it is very jumpy and confusing at times.

For example, the enemy charged me head on after firing for a while and losing, and I unloaded a volley on them at point blank range, men fell dead at my feet. While I was in a melee with someone else a man came up behind me, I spun around, he bashed me in the head and I fell to the ground looking up, only to see him step over me and run me through with his bayonet.

BTW, it tracks the bullets in slow motion.

EDIT: Bought it on Steam because it comes out half a day earlier Also Rome Total War.
