45 MAC shots in one area? I'm pretty sure that blowing harvest the fuck up isn't exactly good, even if they did lose. If they anticipated to win, who thought shooting the agricultural planet was a good idea.

If you think of the MAC blast power as a "precision bombardment" power instead that just uses normal ordanance delivery, which I kind of do for myself, then it all makes much more sense.

Then why is it called a MAC?

It's misleading, overpowered and I doubt even the Super MAC cannons above Earth could fire 45 MAC rounds in such a short space of time.

It goes on the list.

Yea I know they call it a MAC, but I kind of renamed it myself to just plain bombardment. I think it's the thought of the power that counts...being a precision bombardment. If you just ignore the name "MAC blast" then it isn't such a big deal.

Of course it would've been nicer if they had just named it better, but we can either complain about it or get on with our lives and just kind of ignore the inconsistency. I chose to do the latter.

There are some things I am willing to accept. I'll put up with the Cyclops, I'll put up with the MAC to a degree, but the huge central mistake is not forgivable, as it screws with all the games that take place after it.

Red Team should not of found the Flood.

I have renamed it "Artillery," but since we spent 2 years telling ES how stupid it was and they ignored us, it's among their top failures.

Why? There is no bit of logic to support it's inclusion, and quite a bit against.

I've renamed it "Artillery". That's what it really is.

And now for the wisdom of Roger Waters...

The cyclops is actaully a good unit...when not in combat. Using it as support to repair my tanks and anti is a relief when you dont have the heal ability.

The MAC, well, if the name bothers you, just pretend it's called archer missle. Seeing as it has the same effect and all.

the flood pisses me off in canon though. I don't know if you noticed this, but......

Flood infected grunts and jackels! What the hell is up with those!? They look like crap too...

There are many other canon flaws, but this post wouldn't be big enough to hold it all...

Repairs? Forge is the money commander! If he wants repairs, he'll just use the repair power.

Really? Grunt and jackle flood? Can't say I noticed those. But if those are in then canon is just obliterated.
I also still don't see why there uberhaupt is any flood in this game at all, it has no reason to be on that shield world.

I did like the stalker and swarm flood though, asuming they are pure forms.

Isn't a archer missle explosive? MAC's are not evplosive, how large would be the detonation of a archer missle?

It would be the same as the MAC in Halo Wars.

That's why we suggested it as an alternative.

Haven't gotten the game yet, and probably won't for a while. I'm not doing so well, monetarily. I might see if I can't just rent it and beat it on an easy difficulty, just to see how badly canon is. Then I can go back to HWF with a vengeance, and that little dweeb Artifact who keeps telling me I am forbidden from complaining because I haven't played the game (and, at this point, no one has) won't be able to stop me.

They've fucked it up tremendously.

I mean the Pillar of Autumn? Common.
