Sooo... favourite TW game?

I'm gonna have to say Medieval 2 because my mate (cunningly knowing the units and not letting me pause) always slaughters me. I'd give Rome a bigger shot if they had the replenish feature from Empire - that thing was a lifesaver - and by life I mean time.

I would definitely say Empire. While Rome was perfect in my eyes, as well as being set in a better period, Empire did a lot more than Rome. Right now I just need a bit more patching.

Only one I've owned so far(played demos of rome and medieval) but it's already pretty much ruined the old melee for me, so I'm not going to it.

Rome.

Empire has a whole lot more diplomacy, which I love, but nothing beats the time period, units, and MUSIC of Rome.

I prefered Medieval II over Rome. I haven't had the honor of playing this game yet, sadly.

I can certainly agree to that, I guess I love Rome more. Empire did have better gameplay I think, but the feel of Rome was much more memorable.

Probably the speed of my computer (took four mins to load a battle) and general breakingness of Empire that put me off it. I'll try again at Mum's.

Rome has to be the best. Maybe not gameplay, but it started it all. Not to mention the music is epic. I wouldnt agree on Republic Rome being a better time period than the Napoleonic War.

Never played Shogun; but I still play Medieval on my laptop. I think they're pretty similar.
