Christianity vs Islam
I don't really like where this is going, especially since it will be everyone vs Zaki, who has already demonstrated a mastery of the ability to completely ignore simple facts (even better than Recon used to :p), but I guess we need some place for this to be debated so it doesn't derail other debates.
Anyway, ya, discuss!

Re: Christianity vs Islam
Is this referring to who is right or who would win in a war?
Either way, Christianity FTW!

I did not ignore facts, I simply avoided addressing them in my responses.
I vote neither. They're both equally irrational.

Re: Christianity vs Islam
I don't understand.
Is this a war? Um... 50 tanks!
Or is this like Christianity is the truth and I can prove it.
BTW, here the descriptions of each religion's beliefs and compare. Just to make sure everyone is on the same page on ideology and beliefs of other religions.
Mainly because some people still don't understand that Muslims believe in Jesus.
http://www.religioustolerance.org/comp_isl_chr.htm
Also, can people not answer questions that I asked someone else.
Where shall we start?
1.I've never understood why Jesus (your Son of God) would kill himself for Christians. Someone so magnificent would allow himself to be killed for just to save Christians from sin.
Can anyone shine some light on this?
2. Abraham never prayed to the Holy Spirit, Holy Son, and Holy Father. Moses never prayed to the Holy Spirit, Holy Son, and Holy Father. Adam and Eve never prayed to the Holy Spirit, Holy Son, and Holy Father.

Actually, it is against all logic that God is real. Just think about it. Not saying I'm Atheist, though; I believe in some sort of god, but like the Miwok idea that god is everyone, not in everyone.

You stay out of this. Yours is just as irrational.

You know how God proscribed sacrifices to be of the highest quality in a given herd? The animals had to be unblemished, and meet certain criteria.
Since Jesus was without sin, he was the ultimate sacrifice that absolved us of our sins, and we affirm that by accepting his sacrifice as true.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.
Romans 3:21-26 "21But now a righteousness from God, apart from law, has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22This righteousness from God comes through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference, 23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24and are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25God presented him as a sacrifice of atonement,[i] through faith in his blood. He did this to demonstrate his justice, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26he did it to demonstrate his justice at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus."

Simple: the Holy Father, Holy Spirit, and Holy Son are best thought of as facets of a diamond.
The Holy Father is God, as he created the universe and on throughout most of History.
The Holy Spirit is God as he watched over the Israelites.
The Holy Son is God as he came down to Earth as a human.

Love to debate you on this.

Re: Christianity vs Islam
Civ, you are only making matters worse.
When it comes down to war, Christians win.
Strength in numbers, Strength in Technology
well, numbers not so big of a factor
I am not getting invloved with the religious debate over who is right, because there is no possible way to prove it.

Civ, I said I WAS NOT ATHEIST! I am just saying it was against logic that God is real. Note that I said logic, not creativity.
