It seems like the marines with Obama were in formation so they are not allowed to make any noise, notice how not a single one even twitches and stays at the position of attention?

But then again... why would they stand at attention for one and clap for the other if it's the same position with the same form/purpose of assembly?

no, on the bush one it seems like a big open tent where they greet him, the obama one seems like a press conference.
