Pistol are built to kill. Uzis are built to kill. Mac10s are built to kill....and THESE are the weapons in the hands of those killing.

Gangs don't use assault weapons. Except for a few ak47s here and there, but those saturate the market so much anybody could get one illegally.

In california, if you follow the legalities of owning weapons you can have semi-automatic rifles, but the clip size can't be past 15, making it practically useless except as a large, accurate pistol.

guys lets ban alchohol because it causes more deaths

oh wait we tried that and bootlegging became huge

i have an idea lets ban animals cause sometimes they attack humans and kill
