CARL SAGAN has given the scientific community quotes of the similar biblical quality to those of the Bible. It makes us less depressed.

There's the one in my sig "When the solar system is all explored, the planets of distant stars will beckon."

There's one quote that makes me feel like crying every time I hear it.
There's a plaque on the launch pad of the 'Apollo 1' spacecraft (the one that burst into flames)

It reads: 'Dedicated to those who made the ultimate sacrifice, so that others may one day reach for the stars.'

As for Futurama: "All the systems have names like that in the Galaxy of terror!"
