Throw the guy in jail or give him a death sentence and move on. Just because one guy in eight years flips out doesn't mean we need to spend a bazillion dollars so soldiers can go see Dr. Phil.

Hey, my mom is a psychiatrist, so I can understand why they should allow the soldiers medical (mental) care. They are crazy, they need it!

What we do is hold him accountable for his actions, and not blame the military for not preemptively keeping him from going crazy. I really don't have any sympathy for people who do these sorts of things and blame it on their mental condition.

In this case, and most, his mental condition is HIS personality. If we are going to let people loose for being crazy, then we had better start releasing every single serial killer ever brought to justice. After all, their doctors should have known.

Meh, I saw this on the morning TV and thought "Here comes the firestorm."

So... during the Afghanistan-Iraq war... this has happened once.
How many school shootings have there been in that time?

There's no convincing you of reason...

You don't give a guy a gun and then send him to a counceller because you think he might be a little mentally stressed. First thing you do is take away his gun... which then puts him out of the military... meaning this wouldn't happen... so why spend oodles of money on health care? Soldiers can pay for their own health care like everyone else if they think they're crazy, but I'm not letting the government be responsible for any more of this crap as they manage to screw it up EVERY TIME.

Civbase the whole reason people get that Post traumatic stress disorder is becuase the government is who is sending them off to die in iraq, and ordering them to shoot civilians and all that guerrilla warfare stuff.

What i dont like about this is the fact that vietnam war vets or even WWII vets coming back didnt get close to this much care and attention, if you shot a soldier in those days you would be shot yourself................ in the head.

So maybe they went crazy, too bad.

If going 'crazy' makes you kill people, then you should get no less a sentence, you still killed someone, just not in the right state of mind. They can still have mental therapy in prison.. or a pysch ward.

Government isn't sending them off to do it. They signed up to do it.

If they can't handle the heat, they should stay out of the kitchen.

they don't get ordered to shoot civilians.

its just that the enemy hides as civilians since they aren't a proper military force.
