Guitar Hero: Metallica
Well, I played Guitar Hero: Metallica and came to the conclusion that it was the worst Guitar Hero yet. It was just a cheap ripoff of Guitar Hero: World Tour with different songs. It was way to easy to progress from one venue to another and some of the songs were just horrible. Any thoughts?

Re: Guitar Hero: Metallica
I find this as a desperate attempt to get customers simply done by taking a popular band and dedicate a game to them..
If I'm not wrong, you could upload song from the internet to the previous Guitar Heroes, though I might be wrong, but I see absolutely no reason to make an entire game focused on metallica.
A friend of mine said he was going to get it, when I said how stupid it was, he answered: "But it's metallica"...

Re: Guitar Hero: Metallica
I still fail to see the difference between any of the first three guitar heroes besides slightly better graphics and new songs (which could be in DLC). Same with Rockband. It's just a stupid gimmick to get money. I'd rather spend the $60 on sixty songs that I'd enjoy than a random selection with a little bit better graphics and a new boss dude.
GH is the worst, though... and WT ended it for me. I used to like GH 3 and RB1 equally (being as I hardly ever sing and never play the drums), but WT killed it and set it on fire just in case.

Re: Guitar Hero: Metallica
why did WT end it?
can the controllers be used for both games?
how long ago was RB2 released?
and the bit that was good about metalica was the fact you could see how many stars you had(whilst playing), other than that it was the cod:waw of GH
and i have the demo

I thought Activision was with Guitar Hero to begin with and that when Harmonix left to work on Rock Band they were replaced by Neversoft.KristallNacht wrote:seems you finally learned how Activision operates.

Toys? They are very good games (though deteriorating in worth).czar wrote:Don't bother with those "games". *cough*toys
Well, it is a cheap gimmick, but people will eventually get tired of the same game.RX wrote:I find this as a desperate attempt to get customers simply done by taking a popular band and dedicate a game to them..

Let's not go that far...Untamed Reign wrote:Except for 3 songs Metallica sucks big fat shit metal dick.
I see a huge difference between the first three, each brought new features to gameplay, as for Guitar Hero: World Tour, just no. I hated Guitar Hero: World Tour (along with it's "copy" Guitar Hero: Metallica). They might as well renamed it "Band Hero", I just wanted to play the guitar, but that stopped me from getting half the experience that Guitar Hero: World Tour was supposed to give. I also hated the addition of GH Tunes, just broken. I wish that they would return to the guitar, where they belong, but Guitar Hero is nothing but a money maker to them now, although I keep going back to buy their games.CivBase wrote:I still fail to see the difference between any of the first three guitar heroes besides slightly better graphics and new songs (which could be in DLC). The controllers can be used for both games, if you have an Xbox 360. As for Rock Band 2, I don't care, Rock Band sucks.thane321 wrote:why did WT end it?

It sucks. I hate how the playlist works, I hate the new base keys, I hate the new slider thing, I REALLY hate the karaoke bar, the WT drum set sucks (four notes and five pads), and the songs aren't even good.
thane321 wrote:can the controllers be used for both games?
The RB drums and mic work for GH WT, though I'm not sure about the guitar. The GH guitars work for RB, but I'm not sure about the drums or mic.
thane321 wrote:how long ago was RB2 released?
Idk, but it came after GH: WT.
LH Justin wrote:2, I don't care, Rock Band sucks.
Well, the RB store works better and the guitar system is the exact same as GH 1, 2, and 3, so I'm switching to RB.

Re: Guitar Hero: Metallica
oh, and in case some of you missed it:
Activision is releasing ANOTHER stand alone guitar hero game containing songs from past guitar heros, instead of being SMART and doing what Harmonix does with weekly track releases.

Re: Guitar Hero: Metallica
yeah, and even so u can just download the songs off of GH tunes, people make litterally 100's of versions of songs on that, and most of the songs that they put on the dedicated music games u can usually buy off of XBL anyway so the point of getting those games is pointless.
Also theres a "garage band" or something like that program you can buy off of the internet and you can transfer and recreate songs to a guitar hero gameplay, and if u dont feel like making them u can download them from other people off of the site, just gotta remember what it is >.>
