New Halo 3: ODST footage.

Realisticly you shouldn't be able to because a human shouldn't know how to operate one... unless you are ONI or a spartan.

I still don't think you will be able to though..

Doubt it. You certainly shouldn't be able to hijack them.

You can 'hijack' Wraiths without doing the boardign animations. All you really need to do is jump on it, melee the roof off, then shoot the driver once or twice in the head.

I don't think a ODST has enough strength to mele a metal hatch off a wraith.

A spartan can though..

ODST's also cannot drive Covenant vehicles according to you, but look at that, they drive 'em in Halo CE.

It obviously had to be done to balance the game out. Alot of things like that happen..

Why isn't there a sheilded wraith in Halo3?

1) The idea first came up in HaloWars, after Halo3

2) To balance the game out

Halo Wars crap should be completely ignored.

Think about it...

The covenant can give energy sheilds to elites/ brutes, and to huge starships. They can indefinately give it to any vehicle..

They can, but they don't in Halo CE, Halo 2, or Halo 3.

Because it had to be balanced...

A Wraith with sheilds would be overpowered

And why would that be? The thing is already easy to kill.

You can kill it with the plasma pistol in CE. I do that on legendary.
