Greatest Conquerer in History
Just decided to make this for no real reason.
I'll have to go with Genghis Khan, came from left for dead to conquerer of most of Asia and parts of Europe and Africa.
Julius Ceasar and Napolean Bonaparte are up there though.

Re: Greatest Conquerer in History
Alexander the Great is pretty high up there, so is Genghis Khan.
Can't forget Hannibal, though he was more of a general than a conqueror, but he did conqueror Spain and a few other places (and would've conquerer Rome had Carthage sent him some more troops after he destroyed most of the Roman army in the battle of Cannae).

Re: Greatest Conquerer in History
Hannibal's problem wasn't a lack of skill
it was a misunderstanding of how the Roman system worked. He was trying to break apart a confederation that did not exist.

Whoever the hell conquered the territory that is now Russia.
It may not be the largest conquest, but it did make the largest country even today.

Genghis Khan staged the first and only succesful winter attack in Russia. He would have conquered it easily, but he instead focused on the Muslim Empire.

One of Genghis Khan's Generals, Tsubodai, routed a 12,000 man army with 750 men.
More with just Genghis, i don't believe Genghis has ever been in control and lost a battle.

I'm pretty sure that Genghis Khan had more territory, same with Alexander the Great, among others.

Sun Tzu wasn't really a conquerer, just a military strategist.

I think I'm the greatest general, as in Medieval II: Total War I routed a full army from the late game with 3 battalions of peasents.
