I actually think Elites have a chance. they are much more agile and stealthy. However, if in a boxing ring, Brute pwnz0arz.

I picked elite, but I can't switch it now.

Depends really on the battle area, armor(if any), weapon of choice, etc

factors in such a fight.

But, in general, a brute would win in a "straight-up" fight.

Lets ask DEADLIEST WARRIOR if they can do this!

Brute would win with any melee weapon but elites are more of range fighters than brutes. Brutes have thick hides which help against swords, maces, etc, etc but it still wouldn't be enough although its better than a elites natural resilience. The brutes strength would help them make stronger hits and move faster, the only downfall is that the brute is less stealthy and agile, so with melee brutes with range elites.
