Maxim is a terrible magazine

I guess it would be more fair to call it an 'unsatisfactory magazine,' but seriously, the images you see on those covers is as far as it goes.

I have been receiving Maxim in the mail for the past few weeks now. It seems that Ziff Davis, former publisher of the now deceased EGM magazine, decided to finally make up for the thousands of subscriptions that were cut short without refund, managing to strike a deal with Maxim's publisher.

When the first issue arrived, I was somewhat looking forward to wasting time, flipping through the pages. AS with most magazine of the sort, I expected to see images that were AT LEAST more revealing than the photographs on the cover. After all, the whole point of attaining a magazine known for hosting images of attractive females is typically for the purpose of looking at pictures of naked women.

Instead, I found snap shots of appropriately dressed celebrities who's make-up artists were apparently quite trigger-happy with the air-brush.

Along with unsatisfying pictures, the magazine also hosts occasional shitty game reviews, (50 cent scored higher than Killzone 2) and funny tech reviews which fail to be funny.

It is not a good magazine, and a pretty terrible substitute for the greatness that was once EGM.

Still, you can't expect that kind of thing to have high quality writing. It's just not socially acceptable.

As for the pics, most newsagents here have toplessness galore on the front covers - they're just craftily stored on the top shelf where obviously kids wont see

FHM is nice, do you get ZOO weekly in the US? its $4.50 for a 60 page FHM basically here in Aus

Yeah, they can't do that here. I think EU restrictions are pretty lenient when it come to breasts. The FCC isn't.
