T3H 1337 WARZ!





Prologue- The mid-fight


“Move out!” The command of Lord Pheonix wasn’t ignored as sudden artillery fire began to tear up the land around the beleaguered force of Crimson soldiers. One soldier fell to the ground, bleeding from the shrapnel, as another stooped to pick him up. Bacon crouched behind a piece of what once could have been a wall; aiming down the sights of his rifle as he leant it on the top of the wall. A figure came over a hill in the distance; the figure looked around and made a hand signal. Bacon chose this moment to fire a three round burst, as the mayhem of the shelling continued to unfold behind him. Dirt showered his resilient back, as he never flinched.

The bullets sailed towards their target and almost instantly, the figure dropped and from behind him came a host of others. One hefted a rocket launcher and fired a missile, which luckily sailed just over Bacon’s head. He fired a full magazine as he backed away. A few of the approaching Noob Horde took hits, but nothing lethal. Bacon turned and sprinted away from the cover completely, just as it was obliterated by a rocket.

“We need air support! They have Spam Tanks, I repeat, they have Spam Tanks!” RX took his hand off the head mike and lifted his rifle up. Firing a burst of lead at Noobs approaching from across the battlefield. Two fell and the others quickly scattered and blindfired his position. One lucky bullet penetrated his knee. He collapsed on the injured limb. “AH FUCK!” A hand clasped on his shoulder, he turned to see Ruski with a first aid kit.
“I’ve got you RX.” Ruski took out a needle, as the chaos of battle continued around them. Men screamed orders, unheard over the din of shells and gunfire and people screamed. Whether they be battle cries or cries of anguish, they were indistinguishable anyway. The needle went deep into RX’s leg, he groaned as the morphine took over. Ruski smiled as he saw the look of satisfaction on RX’s face. Taking out a cloth, he wetted it in a strange smelling mixture and daubed it over the wound. That had stemmed most of the bleeding. He bandaged up the wound and carried him away under the constant stream of projectiles that would end his life if they could.

OB peeked around the corner of the wall he was taking cover behind. Two Spammers were walking cautiously through the narrow path. OB swiftly stepped out and raised his rifle to them. Firing a few bullets at one and a few at the other, he nodded as they both dropped. His satisfaction quickly disappeared, to be replaced by fear, as a Spam tank rounded the passage. OB froze and stared as the behemoth and a triumph of Noob engineering turned its turret towards him. The groan of the metal was like the laughter of a cruel enemy. OB suddenly returned to life, and sprinted to the left, towards a place that would protect him from the tank. It fired however, and he was lifted into the air. He landed hard on the floor. Rocks dug into him and he started to bleed from his mouth, ears and nose. He managed to prop himself up against the wall, despite his bodies protests. He crawled over to the wall and sat back against it. He cleared his throat by spitting out a load of blood. His black armour shining in the mid-day sun. He couldn’t bring himself to speak, it hurt too much. Instead he had to sit and wait. He looked out at the open battlefield to see a Crimson Dragon flying over the battlefield. It dropped its ordnance on a tank. The resulting explosion and destruction of the monster brought joy to the veteran’s heart. He saw a familiar figure walking through the mess that was the battle ground. Vigil. He stooped to examine something, before signalling forward. A large number of Crimson soldiers began walking forward.

Ruski, Vigil, Felix, Royale, TM, Chuckles, Cazador, Civ, NT, Pheonix, Rizzle and a multitude of others walked past his cover. OB couldn’t raise his voice past a whisper to signal them. He tried throwing a rock, but his limbs barely worked. Instead, he knew it was his time. He lay back and closed his eyes, and the memories of the war came flooding back.
