Re: Prototype
I have it on pc.
was fun, but had things that definitely made me think they missed out on some good oppurtunities.

Re: Prototype
I love the game but I do agree that there were some things that could be added. Like easier free-running when it comes to Movement events

Re: Prototype
What do you mean by actual freerunning?
Because if I could super jump and wall run that's pretty much all I'd use too

Re: Prototype
Not played or seen infamous, but I'm guessing you mean arm-jumps (or grabbing onto ledges) and dynos and precicions and all that climbing paraphernalia.
I dunno. I don't think it would have worked with the super-parkour element. Would have seemed a bit slow and redundant when he can ariel onto roofs anyway.
Also New York isn't exactly parkour heaven. Though I would like to have a bash at the traffic during rush hour and all those side alleys like the one at the start.

Re: Prototype
but also makes the game feel rushed, like they spent no time actually working on a functioning movement system. instead just added "double tap and hold in the direction you want to go for a minute"

Re: Prototype
I had it for 4 days, then took it back. The game wasn't very re playable for me.
If anything though, the parkour was the make or break thing for me. Fighting was just too easy to keep me going, whereas running from strike teams was enjoyable but too simple. Not enough skill involved in it. I liked scaling buildings without wallrunning though. Just jumping and hanging on.

Re: Prototype
But how fast your moving would make it hell to have to manually jump over every car. If you didnt move that fast you would be owned strike teams and hunters not to mention any type of armor.KristallNacht wrote:but also makes the game feel rushed, like they spent no time actually working on a functioning movement system. instead just added "double tap and hold in the direction you want to go for a minute"

Re: Prototype

Getting from one point to another on foot as fast as possible. Basically. Mirror's Edge is solely about parkour as an example.
