Re: DISTRICT 9
HAHAH, I thought it was a realistic movie, until the bug guy.
But it looks good.
after both trailers, I'm guessing the aliens came here as refugees or whatever, and were intentionally keeping them on earth (even though they are having conflicts with humans) so we may harvest their technologies.

Ever since I saw the railgun used in Transformers 2, I'm not afraid of aliens anymore.

Re: DISTRICT 9
The railgun was very underpowered in transformers 2. The ones we will be making will have the power of a tactical nuke.
And just so you know, the Niel Blockamp/Peter Jackson team was the one that was going to make the Halo movie.
Do want.

Re: DISTRICT 9
Obviousness aside...
What I'm curious about is how we are able to keep them here on earth? I mean if they really want to leave then how are we stopping them? That ship was pretty big. This is something seeing the movie shall answer.
Do Want! Nao!

Even though Blomkamp has quit the project and has publically called the movie 'dead'.

Yeah, but you're still believing what he says.

And will act as 200 mile artillery.
But my favorite is the "Rods from God". Telephone-pole size rods of tungsten dropped from orbit onto unsuspecting enemy bunkers.

I thought they were called the Swords of Damocles, which imo is a far cooler name.
