I think so, its supposed to replace the nukes as there is a HUGE blast radius form the kinetic energy and no fallout. Its the WMD for europe? in Endwar

That movie looks pretty sweet

I think I shat a brick.....

And will act as 200 mile artillery.

But my favorite is the "Rods from God". Telephone-pole size rods of tungsten dropped from orbit onto unsuspecting enemy bunkers.

Like from EndWar right?

Personally I like my idea of a railgun in space that fires anywhere from a car to a man sized projectile to hit a wide variety of targets.

I REALLY want to see this movie. So far I've seen bad movie after bad movie this summer, and district Nine may finally break that.

yep

think about this too.... District 9 cost 1/6th the price of Transformers 2... and is equal on CGI quality and integration... with a MUCH better storyline

meaning... 6 of these movies could be made for the price of 1 Michael Bay Crapfest

the problem is, most people can't make a good enough story. I'd take 1 micheal bay crapfest over hollywood attempting to make 6 movies with a district 9 budget. at least it would require them to put more time into it.

you would rather Michael Bay spend 200 MILLION dollars on another peice of shit (IMO Transformers 2 is one of the worst movies ever produced) ... than 6 Peter Jackson movies?

even if the story was shit... it couldn't be nearly as bad as RotF.... fuck.. .a movie that was just a monkey running around a city throwing feces at people would be a classic compared to half of Bay's shit

I had this really long comment thing about District 9 but the site 'disappeared' before I could post it.

It could be summed up by this...
DISCTRICT 9 KICKS SOME SERIOUS FUCKING ASS

No, really, it has to be my favorite movie in the past few years.
