Battlefield: Bad Company

Post by Offensive Bias- OLD on Sun Jul 26, 2009 8:24 am

I've been playing this game a lot recently, and I think it is a great game. There are barely any flaws, it is well made and well thought out. The destruction element is great, and the realism in the styles of combat, be it the smoke effects or the sound of the weapons, is simply awe-inspiring. I recently asked some of my friends what they thought of it. They are addicted to the game. They think it is perfect. But, when I ask around the Internet or here if anyone plays the game, I almost, always get a no. But, I want to know, why not? It is pretty cheap to buy now and it is still worth every penny. So, if you have played this game, would you reccomend it to people here?

Because I would. Post your thoughts on what you like, and dislike about the game.

The weapons are unbalanced, you can go around with just a pistol and pawn everyone. I think its fun though.

I barely use the Pistol, so I wouldn't know. I'm a massive fan of the Assault class, I use mostly the M16.

You should play more. Specifically the online, although the single player is really fun.

I laugh at that. Especially at people who think they're some kind of super sniper by sitting in tall grass half way across the fucking map, without barely helping their teammates AT ALL, then (since they are so fucking far away from the fight) ALL of his teammates spawn next to him and have to run 10 fricking miles (while you are all occasionally getting picked off in the process) to get back to the action when its an objective based game where time is a factor.

You try to talk to the little waste of skin who wields the sniper rifle but he either doesn't have a mike or refuses to talk since hes to busy "focusing" to bother paying attention to his angry teammates.

The game is fun, however the online absolutely ruined it for me.

I haven't played the online but the single player is great. The only thing I didn't like about it is that interior walls could not be destroyed and the buildings, even when you took out all of the exterior walls, would not collapse on teh poor bastard inside it! A problem that shall be fixed in Bad Company 2

Meh... the online is pretty good IMO. It's just those few maps that are messed up like that. I've always liked the Battlefield series.

There is a demo on the XBL marketplace that offers a small portion of the single player campaign and multiplayer.
