no, its more the fact that bungies story telling has gone down over 9000% since Halo CE was released.

ODST looks set to have a great story, you're an ODST stranded from your squad, alone in the Covenant controlled New Mombasa.

Very similar to CE, in that you're a Spartan stranded from the other Spartans, mostly alone on the Covenant controlled Halo.

It looks set to be an awesome plot.

Yeah, they did. It was still a pretty awesome job though, the story was great.
