Red Dawn has that 80's feel that you just can't replicate. It was filmed in a time when a war between the Soviet Union and the United States could break out at any moment. It's a time piece.

A remake is just... nooooooooo! DO NOT WANT! I just don't see the point. I don't see why you would WANT to do that. What can they do better? Put in CGI where it doesn't belong like Hollywood has done with every other classic title? No thank you.

Also, just wait, It's probably gonna be a Chinese invasion, and the mascot is gonna be a badger or something. Just wait.

If you're into Red Dawn, start looking into Homefront, a new game about a North Korean Invasion of the US, written by the guy who wrote Red Dawn. In fact, Ima make a thread about it.

its gonna end up a crap movie filled with explosions and guns fiing.... they are going to ignore the point and feeling of the original in order to dumb it down to the mental level of people now adays to try and get a few extra bucks.

Yeah, China has a lot more active troops, an AIRCRAFT CARRIER, and, of course, working ICBMs.

Still, North Korea is the one with the crazy ass leader that would actually try to pull something like a US invasion off, and a completely brainwashed populace. North Korea makes for a much more mysterious, frightening enemy than good ol' Red China.
