As Ziggy stated in the CB, that in itself is pointless.

If reproduction is solution to death, then why bother? Without mankind there couldn't be death of mankind, so in a sense it is pointless.

if we cannot change anything we have no choice

because choice requires change
No it progresses, if there was no progression in time then we would not age since to age it takes progression through time. We age perfectly so you are wrong there. Time can never be complete, its just impossible. Theirs no way it will just stop and finish. Time is everlasting, even when every particle in the universe has been destroyed(which is impossible in itself since atoms cannot be destroyed) time will still go on. The last one is false you can always change something.

we progress through time
i said that if i had said there is no progression period you would be correct but i did not

no our souls our perception of time progresses but time in and of itself does not

time is like a rode we are like a car on the road the road itself is finished there is no changing it you are the car that follows that road and you see every thing on the road as you pass by
as you approach things on the road they dont just appear they have always been there

therefore your future body in the future is already there you just havent experienced it

and please answer this question
since progression, and change take time then how can something that is outside of time progress or change

(time is not in itself)

Life just happened. Nothing did anything to stop it; nothing to help it prosper. My theory is: Everything exists. If only for a moment, it is there. Boom, motha fuckas.

Here's a question for you guys to debate: Does the answer to anything of philosophical nature really matter?

A purpose is given to us, and I don't think humans can give themselves a purpose. So we don't have a purpose unless you count the ones we give our self.

I never said I didn't believe in any god, but currently I am viewing this at a scienctific standpoint.

Ziggy, change the subject before we all erupt into a god's existence war that leads to an eventual uber flame war and tears up the space time continuum.

How about this: Purpose cannot exist without free will.

How is there a purpose? What makes reproduction a purpose? Reproduction is a choice, we don't have to reproduce. Survival is a null purpose, as I already explained.

Indeed, robots have a purpose for us. However, if we take this from a non-religious standpoint, there is nobody higher than us for us to have purpose for. The only way to have purpose for ourselves is to have the free will to fulfill this purpose. Otherwise, it's not a purpose but a milestone.
