what do you mean?

i have no need to look up state laws, and when i do, i use google.

this thread isn't about "omg i didn't know i couldn't play it offline, i want my money back"

this thread is about "MS should really stop being bitches and just let us play it offline.

Well, there will be a logically reason behind it regardless if it is in your best interest. Maybe it could be something to do with the software, or maybe it might just be just them wanting more money. I'm not supporting either side of the argument with this, but I am just saying. I don't have enough information to come to a strong conclusion, but I agree that it would be good if they could do that.

What I don't get is how you are not able to play Castle Crashers, it is the main game I when I am offline?

that second search wouldn't help you anyway dude.

it'd be more like "new Zealand law digital property"

new zealand won't have its own 360 info, it has its own stuff relating to the internet, of which the 360 applies.

If I were actually trying to find info for something like that I most likely would spend more time searching the net, and then I would probably ask a guy at a game store (Depending on weather or not it actually related to Games.)
Those search examples were just to emphasize how it might be hard for some people, especially those unfamiliar with the internet, to find such info.

I played Oblivion offline, and I downloaded it from Xbox Live. He's probably not using the Xbox 360 he downloaded the games on.

Just thought I'd share this, around one or two years ago I downloaded "Heavy Weapon" (arcade game) from the market place, and played it quite a bit. After I had to exchange my Xbox for a new one it would no longer work offline. Then a few months later it wouldn't even work online. After I renewed the licenses it still wouldn't work. Then just after the stupid update recently, its now playable again both on and offline.
