Need help with getting rid of Norton

I try to remove it the normal way (add or remove programs) and every time I try to remove it says "Setup has detected that live update or auto live update is running. Please stop live update or wait for auto live update to finish. then relaunch setup. Setup will now abort" I cant find live update or auto liveupdate on my comp, I shut it down and it still says the same thing. Its really pissing me off because avg wants me to uninstall Norton so it can install(something about them conflicting) and I cant FUCKING UNINSTALL NORTON!!!!!!!!!!!

Norton has been slowly killing my comp for months. It took Dell over 4 hours to get rid of all the errors and some virus. But Im getting a new computer out of the deal

Read the post I have avg but it wont install right because of Norton(they conflict or something like that) and I really want to get that piece of shit norton out without callin any specialists.Kasrkin Seath wrote:Norton is evil.
