AJ's Minor Dilemma

Some people may remember that I am getting into PC gaming via the new laptop (which I haven't purchased yet). Also Halo ODST is coming out somewhat soon.

Here's where my little predicament comes in:

Do I cancel my Halo ODST pre-order in case I find out that I need to upgrade my machine? (I need all the money I can get right now)
Or do I keep the pre-order and hope to god that I don't need to upgrade it?

hmm, you can really upgrade a laptop very far, except for maybe RAM and a new hard drive. Id keep the pre order

I'd keep ODST. Assuming you do upgrade it, it will be for games you don't have.

Laptops are bad for gaming. Get ODST.

Keep the pre-order, it' only about $10.

portable ones are good but you need to be near a plug for it to work...

get a desktop PC if its for gamming

Desktops are out of the fucking question. And no ODST is not like $10 its around 50-60 dollars.

No. The only reason I told him to keep the ODST pre-order is he doesn't have much money, and with that money he'll upgrade his laptop to play games that he can't buy.

ODST is nice and shiney, but I don't think it will be awesome.

I actually think ODST looks like it will be pretty good. With the gameing market as it is, it's going to be tough for a Bungie-made Halo FPS, utilizing the Halo 3 engine, to actually be bad.
