They should not be attached to the trap itself. The bleeding out should be done after said fox/raccoon is dead and hung up. Between the time the creature falls victim to the trap and the moment that you find it dead, who knows what will have gotten into it's open wounds. We wouldn't want swine flu ruining that tasty burger now would we?
