Windows 7 RC for now. Before that I was on Vista, and it never gave me any trouble either.

The rumors of Vista's bugs have been greatly exaggerated... by the biggest marketing blitz Apple has ever unleashed.

and then Apple tried to sue Microsoft for the "find it, buy it" campeign because it was "slanderous"

i'm pretty sure that EVERY Macintosh commercial EVER has at one point said something negative about Microsoft computers

The main thing I dislike about Windows XP and on is that many applications made for 95 and 98 don't work on them.

I think I've only encountered 1 or 2 things that were not fixed by compatibility mode.

except their newest one which is actually all truth

and I run windows XP x64

and compatibility mode is where the program is run in an 'artificial' OS within XP. just right click the EXE, go ot properties, and find the 'compatibility mode' option. its not 'obvious' because the general public has pretty much zero need for it.
