aren't you the one saying that MW2 costs too much?
hypocrite much?
No i was just dissapointed that Activision was jacking up the price for their video games (in the UK first anyways[then maybe elsewhere next]) =/
you are whining about how a perfectly good game should only be $20 when in reality it has a large campaign a new a very good quality game type and to top it off it has mythic maps, if it has a campaign and multiplayer with 6-7 plus maps (for firefight) its well worth 60 bucks
Now if bungie would have broken up the ODST game into DLC peices it couldve well gone up to $50 maybe $40 plus it wouldve been jewing the people who want to play halo 3's multiplayer out of $60
Now if you want to make a new thread about your problems with ODST you are welcome to
mainly because a MW2 thread is no place to discuss ODST.
And your reasoning behind this is?

Re: ODST: Overpriced?
Bah
It's not overpriced.
$60 is well worth it.
(will elaborate tomorrow)

While I stand by it being the the best thing that has come out of Bungie since the first Halo, for someone who already has Halo 3 you are paying 30 dollars for something you already have. However, if you do not already have Halo 3, ODST is a better deal.

I agree as well.
BUT! Speaking for myself. I like Halo and Halo's multiplayer enough where I can buy ODST with that full price tag and not regret it one bit. And I don't. I know I will be playing it for months to come and I know I will have friends who will play it with me. So it's a buy for me.
The game is not overpriced to people like me, Xnate, Bacon, Dud and anyone else who likes the game because we like Halo for it's story, it's multiplayer and just Halo in general. Even though we have the maps already it still worth it to us. Now on the other side of the coin, the game is overpriced to people who may just like Halo for it's multiplayer or anyother reason.
Basically. You have to really like Halo and be a fan of it because this game was made for the fans.

Dont take me wrong, I like Halo. Like REALLY like it, as I have every piece of merchandise available to the series (minus action figures cause they're gay). Halo ODST just doesn't seem like Halo.
As for the price tag. I'm not buying it. If I can, I'll borrow it from a friend, or get it for Christmas.

Which is perfectly fine. Get it for X-mas or borrow it from a friend. It's all good.
But I have to ask. Have you played ODST yet? I ask because you say "doesn't seem like Halo" which implies to me that you haven't played it yet. If I'm wrong then I next question would be, Why doesn't it seem like Halo to you?

Re: ODST: Overpriced?
I've played it, an experienced every single thing on those discs.
they should have kept it its own thing, maybe DLC (as well as disc-based DLC for those people that can't get DLC) for $30.
I don't like people repackaging old content to keep a games price up.
And don't even say thats what orange Box did, because that was 5 games for $50, not an expansion + half a game for $60

Ive played it for about 15 minutes. Its an alright game, but it just doesn't feel like Halo. I really cant explain it. It just feels like I'm playing something different...

Well alright fair enough. The only thing I'll say is that when you got something like Halo CE, Halo 2 and Halo 3 all having and playing as the same character, then having a game where you play as a significantly different character or characters, I think the gameplay and feel of that particular game is more then not going to play out different. Even if it's just a little bit.
[Which basically proves your point I just realized.
But! you'll get the game at some point right? So it matters not.

Re: ODST: Overpriced?
I played the game for roughly 10 minutes(And about an hour in firefight) when my friend brought it over. To me the game play actually seamed a more similiar to halo 1, except without the elites and all.(I still think elites are funner to shoot at than monkeys)
I would get it if i wasn't going to get MW2, witch will probably eat up most of my time. But what do i know i'm probably going to get it anyway.
So , Yes its worth it if you don't like CoD. Or just really Love Halo.
