If you have a job, fixed income, and your own house/apartment then a Gaming Desktop is more the way to go.

Well yes but quite a few here are about 16-17 years old and a laptop would be good as university is coming up for most.

And those below 15 probably won't be able to convince their parents to buy them a gaming computer.

But in noc's case, he's got quite a few more years before he goes to university. Also, I never said anything about getting your parents to buy one for you, get a job and you can get one for $1000 in a few months thats comparable to a laptop that is quite a bit more expensive.

If you're willing to try, I'll post a parts list for about 700-800 dollars and you can build it yourself (takes an hour or two, saves more money)
