Intel or AMD?
Computer Upgrade Time

Black Friday's acoming, and I'm going to overhaul my PC. Now, the question I have is whether I should stick with Intel or get an AMD processor. I'm not entirely clear on which is better for gaming, so I figured I'd make a poll. This is an important decision, since it will effect what motherboard I get as well.

Call me a fanboy, but I'd say Intel at the moment. It depends on your budget though, I guess.

I'll be shopping on Black Friday, so budget shouldn't be too much of an issue.

What's this Black Friday? Our version of Black Friday was a massive bushfire that killed a whole heap of people and destroyed a quarter of a state. Oh, and we had Black Saturday which was even better.

Intel has faster processors, but they cost more.

I was thinking the same thing
But I'd say AMD. It lasted 10 years for me and still works, so I don't know what the reliability problem is. Although I'm currently using Intel
