Old compur street fighter type game

Does anyone remember a game that was a game like soul calibur or street fighter
was 2d
you chose from anthropomorphic robot characters based off of animals
at some points you would be a baby form of your character
the main boss was a frog dude that you could not be

it was for computer
help would be apprieciated

I think the name wAs one or two words and I think the word beast or beasts was in the title I could be wrong though

There was a game called Beast Wars which was a fighting game where you could turn into animals. Or maybe altered beast... but I think that's a sidescroller.

Edit: The game I was thinking of was called Bloody Roar.

Bloody roar was one of those. Altered Beast was not.
