I am very reserved about BC2 on console, which is why I'll be getting it for PC. Every previous Battlefield game released on console has sucked (on console), in my opinion, and I'm not sure BC2 will break this. The PC version should be epic though.

BF:BC1 was good. Never played the others But I'm sure they did suck.
The series did start on PC.

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Bad Company 1 was terrible compared to previous games. The gameplay was simply unintuitive and not a lot of fun, if you had ever touched another battlefield game. It felt like they'd remade Battlefield 2: Modern Combat (the other console release) but given it cliche characters and taken a piss on the controls and whatnot. The main thing holding it up was the destructible environments, but they didn't really meet up with expectations.

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Hmm, well...a lot of people would disagree with you.
Yes, compared with other BF games, probably is not up to par.
But as a game itself, probably still good. So good that they're making a sequal.
Now if you don't mind I have a pizza that needs eating and a movie that needs watchin'.

Thankfully, in making this sequel, they are learning from their mistakes. For one, they've decided not to alienate their hardcore fans by making it console exclusive.

Yes! Thank you!
The demo is fun, really fun. The multiplayer is awesome, i've been playing it since yesterday, and you'd think the map would get boring. It doesn't :face:

Sadly, my graphics card took one look at the game and said "fuck you!" so I'm waiting on a new graphics card to come by mail before I can play.

Surprisingly it doesn't! I just love defending as Recon. I sit in the buildings, blow holes in the walls with charges, then snipe through the holes. The whole destruction shit makes the gameplay so much more dynamic and innovative. I threw a heap of charges into this building, detonated them all, and got like three kills. It was great and the building pretty much became useless cover for the enemy. My only concern is the lag, and the stupid matchmaking, which is as bad as MW2 on 360. Hey, sweet matchmaking, let's put an Australian into a Russian server where he can't do anything but spasm across the map! Sorta ruins it, but it just means I have to disconnect and try my luck with another server. The netcode is alright though, cos I mean I was getting headshots against other players on a French server.
And oooh, another incredibly cinematic and amazing moment - they'd just taken our base, and we're all retreating. Instead of going back to the other base, I hide in the trees in between the two bases. They all run past me, and some of them even walked right past me, like a metre away. It was like the mission in CoD4 in Chernobyl when you lay on the grass and they roll over you. Once 3 or 4 had run past, I run out, knife a few of them, pistol another guy in the head, and then get killed by a guy from behind with a knife.
And sorry to hear Rot. It's good to see another PC gamer though. When you've got it all setup, add me and we'll play a match: mdziggy

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
I had a couple of those cinematic moments. One was when I was being dumb on a street in front of a tank, I pulled my pistol out and started shooting it. It then aimed it's barrel at me, and on my like 5th shot, the tank explodes!
It must've been a UAV drone or something, but it was awesome, first thought of Saving Private Ryan.
