Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
I have few problems with the game demo.
1. UAV gunner able to take out an apache and black hawk
2. Minor knife lag
3. Fucking stupid teammates.
I swear to god, you wouldn't believe how stupid people are. The Apache is an awesome vehicle, when used right. When a moron flies it, it looks like a retarded bird. People either flip over, run into mountains, can't shoot missles for shit, and i've even encountered someone who flew it too slow.
I was an attacker, and the apache was going really slow for an apache, so I shot it out of the sky w/ an RPG and got 1000 points
I also hate people who don't understand the importance of the medic. It's the most neglected class in the game, and one of the most usefull. The recon class is the most used, and in the demo, one of the most unnecessary. I've noticed something, the only reason one side has snipers, is to snipe the other snipes who are sniping them. There's a solution, DON'T SNIPE! I suppose it's okay for the defenders, because you can just trickle the Attackers force slowly.
Other than that, the game is ace, or the demo that is.

By the way Gauz I'm sure you know by now but to shoot the UAV gun it's just pressing the RB button.

Realistically, aircraft are actually rather vulnerable to small arms fire, and UAVs are about the right size to fit a small autocannon.
Gauz wrote:2. Minor knife lag
Knifing is most useful in two situations: Creeping up on a stationary target that is sighted down scope (eg sniper) or in knife fights (which are traditionally used to see who gets to be what team first during ladder matches). You should try the defibrillator as a melee weapon, though. If it's anything like BF2, they'll have better hit reg and range, but longer cooldown.
Gauz wrote:3. Fucking stupid teammates.
The only reason this sticks out from other games is that if your team is fucking stupid in a game like CoD, you can go pro and dominate the enemy team on your own, where in Battlefield, team play is essential to victory.

The chopper is always the vehicle most frequently used by someone under qualified.

Trust me, Medic will catch on.

Generally, this is how it goes: one player starts sniping. He annoys the other team enough that someone decides to come in as a sniper and snipe him. Having done so, this player starts sniping as well, until sniper A has respawned. The two then have a sniper battle. Meanwhile, another player decides to snipe will the other two battle, and the process repeats.

This happened a lot in TF2 on 2Fort. Fortunately, in that game, i could end it really fast by being a Sniper. Killing 4 players as fast as your ROF allows? Priceless. I would only be a Sniper when the enemy snipers interfered with mah Scout.

I just found out you can use the defib. unit to kill players
I was in a tight situation and just... atacked him with it

Solution: counter-camp then with the SV88 and a good hiding spot, and use mortar strikes on that mountain top. Guarantees one or two kills per mortar strike.
Solution when your team is camping the first base instead of planting: ragequit

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
Its the the mountain ones that get to me, mountain ones are easy to avoid since theres plenty of trees, and if they shoot any down your own team's snipers can take potshots at them.
the ones that paradrop alone the oil piping and snipe from up there i kill with the AT launcher and laugh.

Re: Battlefield: Bad Company 2
I wanna pre-order and buy this game, but I'm just not really sold yet. The Demo is just great and is a blast to play. Although to me, it seems like a game best played with friends. So to me, the sellig point is...
I want to know how many people here will be getting this game? Maybe not day 1, but plan on purchasing it at some point in their gaming future.
