You mean, besides the fact it had nothing to do with the books besides a rough outline of what happened?

yep...

The 1971 version. Had the best music, entertainment value and was the closest I think they got to the book.

I mean all the music from that film is instantly memorable.

although the 2005 film is closer to the source material... the 1971 version is a much better movie and therefore gets my vote

I can bitch about the '71 one all I want, but it's the best of the three.

I can't condone anything that speaks against TV or Video Games, so I'll stay out of this one.
