i'm sorry dud... but third age is nowhere near as impressive as BM

maybe the models are impressive for an RTS... but BM's graphics are at the level of a AAA title.

anyways... my vote is going to NS 2... which is technically in the indie category

Black Mesa is prettier, Third Age is more enjoyable to play. Gameplay>Graphics.

well as BM hasn't released yet... I find that a hard comparison to make

BM is technically better in all respects.... every technical aspect has been polished to a shine that seems unfitting of the source engine... and they aren't just adding in some new models and shit.... they are redoing the ENTIRE HL1 campeign... a monumental undertaking.

Yeah, the technical skill that went into building BM is vastly greater then what went into creating Third Age.

Both are good and all, but I think BM is far more impressive in almost all categories I can think of, graphics, originality, everything. Obviously there is no comparison in game play, but I would imagine BM would have more to offer aside from its base game then TA from its base game. I am not one to play MTWII for 150 hours or anything, and I would imagine playing the original would be very similar to playing Third Age, whereas the same cannot be said for what BM has accomplished as the original HL was... primitive, to say the least.
