The thing is, neither of them can really do anything. One person cant change things a whole lot in our massively large society unless they invent a new technology or do something profound.

No, Obama, Palin, none of them are particularly stellar leaders/visionaries/idealists/remotely intelligent people, so don't expect either one of them to do anything out of the blue when it comes to politics. Whoever got elected would have to deal with a problem they are incapable of correcting, so they are screwed from the get go.

considering his opposition is sarah palin, can you be surprised? she's not exactly the most popular person around.

if this was Ron Paul vs. Obama, Rob Paul would be winning.
(I'm not comparing Ron Paul to Sarah Palin, just that they're both people who aren't obama)

Dammit, too bad presidential elections are really just national popularity contests. Not leadership/honesty/intelligence contests...

I lost faith in the U.S. a looong time ago, and yes elections are about who can offer the most things that look pretty, not who's really going to help the most.

Obama has done alot so far to try and fix things up, but I personally feel that some of the other candidates could have done better.

Maybe Obama would be able to do something if he wasn't cockblocked by the Republicans at every turn.

Even some Democrats are turning on him.

do you have any clue what your talking about?

democrats control all 3 branches of government... theres nothing the republicans can do to stop any changes he wants to make... the reason nothing is getting done is because the changes he wants to make are upsetting the people... and the congress and senate aren't going to vote for shit when they know they aren't going to get their job back at mid-term elections

obama's plans of change are shit and are not what the people want... as is why they aren't passing quickly...

Maybe because it's a debate over which TWO people are better or something.
