Carl Jung personality test
So uh... my dad was telling me about this famous personality profiling thing. It's based on the research of Carl Jung, and it basically categorizes you into one of 16 personality types. When you finish your quiz, you'll get a 4-letter acronym. Look that Acronym up, and you should find a ton of information on it.
For me... the thing was INCREDIBLY ACCURATE. I mean, I'm still a little freaked out about how closely it has me pinned down.
Anyway, I was hoping I could get a good amount of the forum members to take this thing. This isn't just some random personality quiz on the internet. Carl Jung's research is pretty well regarded within the science community. If we could get the majority of members here to take the quiz, we could find out what our sociological make-up is, and perhaps measure what makes us such a wonderful community
It'd also be interesting to see if differences in personality type parallel political opinions and/or religious belief systems, or whether members who seem to be rivals of one another are of less compatible personality types.
I'll keep this first post up to date with the personality type of each member who takes the quiz
The quiz can be found here: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes1.htm
I'll post my results as a separate post.
EDIT: PLEASE BOLD YOUR PERSONALITY TYPE

Re: Carl Jung personality test
My result was INTJ
It pretty much matches me perfectly. INTJ's are said to be good with logic and reasoning, and very attracted to debate, but naturally incapable of participating in social activities which they view to be "irrational."
They are self confident for the most part, but that confidence seems to fall apart when it comes to personal relationships.
INTJs rarely take leadership in a public position, but lead very efficiently from behind the scenes.
INTJs are naturally pessimistic, and critical of new ideas.
Anyway, most places basically say that INTJs tend to be very... untrained at certain forms of social interaction. They are generally unsympathetic and purely rational. I see myself as an INTJ with more developed social capabilities... but I still have a lot of social pitfalls, and weaknesses.
EDIT: hehe, nice Gold. Also, would you kindly put that in bold for me? Just to make that standard.

My Social Science teacher did a test like this.
Test like these I always find so hard to answer.

There were a few questions that I was sorta on the fence about. I actually ended up going back and taking the quiz a few times over, switching around some of the answers I wasn't so sure about. I got INTJ every single time... so I think it's pretty official.

INTJ
I think it's pretty accurate. I can't speak for my life, I rarely let emotion show, and I use more logic than feelings.

EDIT: I found most of this to be scary accurate. Up until the part about my thinking, it pretty much nailed my personality.
However, it did not accurately portray the way I think logically. It says: "Introverted Thinking is least apparent and most enigmatic in this type. In fact, it often appears only when summoned by Feeling. At times only in jest, but in earnest if need be, Thinking entertains as logical only those conclusions which support Feeling's values." This is not true of me at all.
While I often think in favor of, or because of feeling, it is not the only thing that triggers it. I often think of logic for logic's sake. I sometimes keep myself up at night, thinking about the most random things, which then seem to pinball around in my mind as I keep going off on tangents and starting new thoughts which then lead to more new thoughts, and so on.

I got this, but I also found I was applying my answers to specific but differing situations each time which contrasted some of my answers.
Maybe it works, who knows.
