AoE went downhill after Asian Dynasties, where the whole "build wonders to advance" thing just got me pissed at the asian factions.

Warbands is worth a try and AD is alright, only the Asian factions get annoying awfter awhile.

Elite Rangers had Jetpacks.

They could have stolen them from either of them. I hope it's the Elites.
