He's not kidding.

One time I got in an edit war because I was changing metric units to the proper American ones (in b4 British Shitstorm) and was constantly reverted, not even a few seconds later.

Their speed is ungodly, like playing computer chess with a machine.

It's not just sysops, either. At any given time, there are likely hundreds of people with rollback refreshing New Changes to look for overt vandalism.

Metric is more widely used and recognized, and doesn't science use metric too?

I know that, but I prefer the Imperial system for everyday use.

It's easier to remember my height in feet and inches than one meters and decimals.

EDIT: Also, I have no qualms with using it for scientific measurements, as that's what it's meant for.
