I can't speak for all of them, but the position of Christian Creationists (and by extrapolation Jewish, Muslim, and possibly Buddhist Creationists) is that the Garden of Eden (where man first took his steps)to be an area in Mesopotamia which no longer exists due to tectonic activity... a view also shared by most evolutionists, so I don't see why anyone would go crazy. That said, Jerusalem seems to the best option.
