What about this:
Greed + Loyal Fanbase + BioWare = Win
Greed + Shifting Fanbase + Firing the heads of Infinity Ward = Activision
Greed always factors in, (Micro$oft, EA, ect.) but good developers (BioWare, old Bungie, ect.) can negate the effect.

Bioware usually gives you free DLCs or doesn't overprice them...Activision overprices them and EA forces you to buy DLCs to get the best of anything.
