HG and BD were overplayed in comparison to the comic book... in the comic Kickass became much more of a fad than he did in the movie

the movie was good, but it was certainly not the best super hero movie i've seen... and certainly not the best movie of the year so far

It was a great balance of hilarity and over-the-top action. The story contradicted itself a bit, though.

How so?

I wasn't a fan of Kick-Ass's ending (sky scraper bit). Sorta ruined suspension of disbelief, but eh, what you gonna do?

Also, HG and BD's intro has to be one of the most attention-grabbing intros i've ever seen.
