Conquerors was one of the best RTSs to ever exist.
Which is pretty much AOE2 with extra factions, for those few who have yet to experience the epicness of when ES didn't make total bullshit....
Which they only did once.

I agree.
I mean, AoE was passable for its time, but AoE III was unplayable for me, AoM games were baloney, and the Ages of Franchise didn't translate well into sci-fi. So, the only game that withstood the test of time was AoE II.

I used to play the first Age Of Empires game quite a lot.
It was cool, but it wasn't the coolest strategy game I have ever played.

Age of Kings was one of my early RTSs, though I enjoyed Empires: Dawn of the Modern World much much more (mainly because the trigger system in scenario making was actually functional).

I never really figured out how to do anything with the triggers in AoE2 except make unique units and kill stuff. This in itself was fairly powerful for making my Minas Tirith map, but easier trigger use would have been cool beans.

I will agree that AoE2 is one of the best rts around, def in my top 5. It's my favorite map editor in any rts I've played, but I haven't done all that many.

The things I liked more about the expansion was farm queuing (especially when you learn how to queue far beyond the "limit") and villagers who aren't fucking retards

AoE II was amazing. I was spoiled, as both of my first RTS games were RA2 (best of CnC) and AoE II (best of AoE). And CnC and AoE are, arguable, the best RTS franchises out there (well... SC, obviously). AoE II even had an easy-to-use, highly effective map maker, to boot! Too bad they took off online play...

Unlike Rasq, however, I thought AoE III was pretty good. I loved the home city system, the trade routs, and the explorers (though the treasures weren't all that great). It had a few flaws, but it was still a pretty good RTS (certainly much better than Failo Wars).

I liked the custom games on AoE III. Cat v Mouse and Fort Wars was always fun. Sometimes Comp Stomp was good too.

I love AOE2, I also found a nice site that pretty much lets you download the whole game for free. It also lets you download a few other games like Dune, AOE, doom, and all kinds of older games.

AOE3 was pretty good, I liked how there was more of a distinction between Civs in that game, AOE2 Civs didn't really have any big differences between each other (Except for how there buildings look, and one special unit.)

No fucking shit. Maybe you should learn to torrent it instead of wasting your time with infested sites.

Or... maybe you should just pay the $3 that the game likely costs today and get it legitimately.
