you can not leave something that is all encompassing... if you went farther than anything had ever gone before... then the new edge of the universe is where you are at... you havn't left... you've only expanded it

a universe is everything that exsists

what you are talking about is the "known universe" ... technically speaking it is impossible to exit something that encompasses everything that exsists

even if there were "parallel universes" then technically none of those are a universe any more, and the space/time holding the parallel universes is now considered the universe

it doesn't matter anyways, it is impossible to go faster than light, which has already had an indeterminate amount of time's head start toward the edges of the known universe
