Re: greatest people in music
Are we judging based on the musician's character or on his/her contributions to music?

I'm pretty sure Bob Marley wins either way.

Re: greatest people in music
It is either Dave Gilmore

Or Roger Waters.

The next one is by Roger Waters, about... well, exactly what it says on the tin.
It never fails to... well, make me feel something. The vocals in the background give me goosebumps.

You're saying meh to the guy who pretty much made rock extremely popular on his own?

And wore a gold lambe suit, time travelled with a sprout, and held an exceptional fondness for the M134 7.62mm General Electric Minigun?
My vote goes to Pythagoras, because I'm in that sort of mood right now.

I hope you are being sarcastic.
EDIT: Oh, I thought it was contribution to music and/or impact on society.
But if it is the quality of his music, then "Meh" is a decent Statement.

Re: greatest people in music
What's more with Bob Marley, he is the face of Regge (sp?). While not as big as of a genre as Rock or Rap or many others, no other musician can lay claim to an entire genre like that.
