It's like having a demo that ends on the day of release.

The point of a beta, is to test problems with the early build of the game, so bugs and errors can be fixed.

You can't do that 10 days before it is released.

they are probally just using it as a demo since your right testing is done the game is out so they just said fuck it lets let them play a little longer

Beta ends tomorrow anyways so theres really no point. And the retail game releases next week.

I shall quest for the companion that will have the game...

They are testing the Capabilities of Battle.net 2.0. Phase 1 of the beta ended June 22 (I think), during that time they made some changes and Phase 2 was to only last a couple of weeks and was there to filter out any remaining problems with the changes they made during the downtime. There are still balance issues and a few bugs with Battlenet 2.0 but that will most likely get fixed either before, or right after release.
